Are the cuts controlled by a computer, or does the doctor control the laser. The reason I ask is my brother in law, a maxiofacial dr. in Arizona had interlace lasik, and said that is the only way to go. Is the Z-lasik a newer procedure than interlace?

I have astigmatism also. I am nearsighted. I checked out this procedure 5 years ago when a metal knife took the flap off. my query is - can todays procedures correct my eye sight.. I have no other eye issues aside from the past.
